Great Western Exotics is approved by both the European College of Zoological Medicine and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons as a Diploma (Specialist) training centre.

Extern Training Placements

Great Western Exotics welcome veterinary graduates and students for extern training placements, although this is limited to two externs at any one time. This opportunity is very popular and tends to be fully booked for 18 months in advance.

Opportunities are only open to 3rd-5th year veterinary undergraduates and postgraduate trainees.

School/College Student Training Placements

As one of very few postgraduate training centres in this field in Europe, we regret that we are unable to take any school students for training placements.
