Current measures we are implementing:
- Asking pet owners in an emergency to call us first rather than turning up unannounced
- Asking that clients ring us from the carpark on arrival
- Asking that all pets where possible (and appropriate) are in a safe and secure carrier
- We will safely disinfect carriers on entry and exit of the building – using an avian and exotic safe disinfectant
- Consultations will be conducted over the telephone
- Clients will be asked to remain outside the building while we examine their pet
- In exceptional circumstances clients will be allowed in the building – on these occasions we provide hand sanitiser for anyone entering and leaving
- Asking all visitors to wear suitable face coverings – both while inside and outside the hospital
- Fitting Perspex screens around reception desks
- Encouraging customers to pay by card whenever possible
- Cleaning at regular intervals to a medical-grade standard
