Tortoise post-hibernation: Diagnosis and management of potential problems in practice

Many tortoises die every year as a result of inadequate hibernation. Post Hibernation anorexia (PHA) is a common and avoidable problem, but much can be done to treat and support these patients. This lecture will cover the diagnosis, causal factors, and treatment of PHA, plus look at other potential causes of morbidity. We’ll also discuss recommended husbandry and hibernation techniques for you to pass on to your clients.
